Elizabeth Hernandez, LMSW, RYT

Hi, I’m Elizabeth. (She/Her)

Do you ever feel like your stress is a radio dial that can be turned up or down but never completely off? If your answer is yes, then you’ve come to the right place.

I am a licensed therapist in Columbus, OH and I enjoy using mindfulness-based and trauma-informed modalities to help you navigate life’s obstacles in a more holistic and adaptive way.

I specialize in helping people process trauma and reduce the stress that comes with everyday life. In our work together, we’ll make space for healing at your own pace — with curiosity, honesty, and a touch of humor when it fits. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more at ease, and more like yourself again.

I currently work with individuals that are looking to address the following issues:

  • Concussion & Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

  • Chronic Pain

  • Sports Performance

  • Substance Misuse

  • Chronic Stress and Burnout

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Mood Disorders

  • ADHD & Concentration

  • Memory difficulties

My approach is holistic, meaning…

While the framework of my practice is built on traditional psychotherapy, I incorporate concepts from meditation, mindfulness, psychology, neuroscience and yoga for an integrative approach to healing which incorporates mind, body and soul.

  • Our mind shapes the way we see ourselves and the world around us. In therapy, we explore thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck or disconnected from your true self. By building awareness and learning new ways of thinking, you can find clarity, emotional balance, and a greater sense of peace. Healing the mind allows space for new perspectives, self-compassion, and lasting change.

  • The body carries our experiences — both joyful and painful. It holds tension, memories, and emotions that words alone can’t always express. Through somatic awareness and gentle connection to your physical self, therapy helps you tune in to what your body is communicating. This process supports regulation of the nervous system, releases stored stress, and restores a sense of safety and presence in your own skin.

  • The soul represents your deepest sense of meaning, purpose, and connection. It’s what makes you you. Nurturing the soul in therapy means tending to the parts of you that seek wholeness, authenticity, and peace. Whether through reflection, creativity, mindfulness, or spiritual exploration, this work invites you to reconnect with your inner wisdom and live more fully aligned with who you truly are.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

— Carl Rogers
